DescriptionLetter from Lord John Russell, then Prime Minister, to Lord Edward Seymour, Commissioner of Woods and Works, asking that Seymour, Sir William Cubitt and Dr. Linley should form a Commission to determine the future of the Crystal Palace. Includes its possible acquisition, retention in Hyde Park and the fact that it must be kept whole as the transept would not stand on its own. Mentions the resignation of General Fox and that Lord Anglesey and G. Anson have been involved in the discussions.
