Description
Correspondence with surveyors, the Office of Works (subsequently Ministry of Works), commercial cleaning firms and others, concerning the uncovering of the Memorial in the Royal Horticultural Society Gardens in 1863; the cleaning of the Memorial, before the 2nd World War, by the Office of Works; estimates from commercial firms for the cleaning and overhaul of the Memorial; the question of annual cleaning; the scheduling of the Memorial as a building of special architectural or historic interest; the suggestion of insurance, etc. 1863, 1908, 1915, 1920-21, 1928, 1930, 1932, 1938, 1948, 1958-60, 1969.
