AdminHistory | John Clayton (1847 - 1933) was elected as a Fellow of the Linnean Society on the 18 June 1903, having been nominated by W. West, G.S. West, W.D. Roebuck, T.W. Woodhead and G.T. Porritt. He withdrew his membership on 30 April 1924. Clayton had a particular interest in old trees (particularly Oak and Sequoias) and was President of the Bradford Naturalists and the Microscopical Society 1887. He died on 20 December 1933. |
