AdminHistoryCarl Friedrich Meisner [sometimes 'Meissner'] (1800-1874) was a Swiss botanist. Born in Bern on 1 November 1800, he worked as the Professor of Botany at the University of Basel and wrote a number of publications on the subject, particularly relating to Australian plants. He died in Basel in 1874.
