Description | Paper by A.H. Haworth entitled 'An account of a many headed Serpent-like animal found alive at Hull, in the Spring of the year 1812', dated Cottingham, October 1816. The paper was read at a meeting of the Linnean Society on the 3rd of November 1816.
Together with a letter from John Harrison to Haworth describing the discovery in April 1812, with an accompanying drawing, and a note from William E. Leach identifying it as the penis of a mammiferous animal, dated the 17th of June 1817. |
