AdminHistory | The LIFT Enquiry was a five-year venture that incorporated year-round research, information gathering and performances. It enabled LIFT to investigate the 'creative processes of both artists and audiences, triggering growing circles of conversations between them and including teachers, children, business people, community activists, scientists, anthropologists, journalists, international barristers and economists. What meaning does theatre have? For whom? And why?' Over the course of five years LIFT wanted to answer these questions, 'in order to provide a rich understanding of theatre as a place for public dialogue and civic engagement.' |
